Ride a trolley

Ride a trolley in a variating nature, from deep forests to big lakes and open fields. Bicycling with our trolleys is a great way to get closer to the nature, if you are lucky you might just spot an moose. We offer trolley bicycling on three different parts of Smalspåret between Hultsfred and Åseda.

Trolley bicycle on the Hultsfred - Målilla sanatorium route

The tour starts just south of Hultsfred(Björkudd) and continues through a shifting landscape with large pine forests. Outside Målilla the railway track crosses a nice little lake, here you can take a break and jump into the water before you head back. The tour is for either 4 or 8 hours(half/whole day trip).

Trolley bicycle on the Virserum - Aggatorp route

The tour starts at Virserum station, nicely restored to it's pride time(50's/60's). So be sure to take an extra look on the stations interior and exterior before you bicycle away along the track. The first two kilometers you'll have the lake called "Virserumssjön" on your left side. In the small village Hjortöström, 3km south of Virserum, you pass the old mill ruins and the nearby pond. After Hjortöström the lake Hjorten will follow you almost all the way down to Aggatorp where the route ends. Truly one of the most beautiful routes along Smalspåret. The tour takes about 1½-2 hours.

Trolley bicycle on the Åseda, Hultanäs and Triabo route

Our bicycle trip begins in Åseda, a small town with 5.000 inhabitants. After some kilometers we enter the deep forests of Småland county offering a lot of wild life. Maybe you'll get a glimpse of the swedish moose? The next village along the track is called Hultanäs, a small village with an pitoresque antique store, be sure to check it out! When leaving Hultanäs you enter the deep forests once again and here you get really close to the nature. Enjoy a quite moment far away from cars and city noises. The last stop along the route is Triabo, 17 km north of Åseda. The trolley route continues a little bit north of Triabo to Holm where we have a cottage for rent. Here you can relax and live like our grandparents did when they where young. The tour takes either 4 hours or 8 hours.
